Mr. Wagenknecht joined Love Funding’s Chicago office in 2008 as senior director. In this capacity, he is responsible for the origination and production of multifamily and health care loans under FHA financing programs for these product types.
Mr. Wagenknecht has more than 20 years of experience in all areas of real estate investment, finance, management and operations. Prior to joining Love Funding, he served as president of both North Start Mortgage Company and Washington Advisory Group, Inc., and he also was a founder of both businesses. During his time at these companies, Mr. Wagenknecht successfully originated and closed over $300 million in property acquisitions/dispositions and financings and processed over $200 million in FHA-insured loans and more than $150 million in multifamily loans originated through conventional lenders.
Mr. Wagenknecht received his B.A. in economics from Princeton University and holds an MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago. He is also both a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois.
